Advisory, investments and ventures

Not for everyone. By design.

LAGS is an operator-led advisory and investment firm. We work with funded companies at the moment growth gets hard, and we back the ones we believe in with our own capital.

Our portfolio
Where we come in

Every growing company hits a ceiling.

Usually one of these four. Capital alone doesn't break them. Experience does.

Revenue stalls

The first customers came through the founders' network. The next hundred won't.

We build the sales system, pricing and partnerships that scale past the founders.

Leadership stretches

The founders are the bottleneck, and everyone can see it but them.

We restructure roles, hire the missing layer and set up decisions that don't need you.

The home market runs out

Growth now means a new country, segment or channel, and every mistake is expensive.

We open doors through our network and run entry with you, not as a report.

The next deal

Raising, selling, buying. The transaction that defines the next five years.

We sit on your side of the table, from structure to signature.
How we work

Four rules we don't break.

They're the reason we say no more often than yes.

Few clients, full attention.

We cap how many companies we take on each quarter. When we're full, we're full.

Operators, not slide-makers.

We've built, run and sold companies. Our advice comes from the inside of a business, not from a template.

Skin in the game.

When we believe in a company, we invest in it. Our advice has to work, because our capital depends on it.

Honest, even when it costs us.

If we're not the right fit, we'll say so in the first conversation. It's the same rule that runs the test.

Portfolio

Companies we back and build.

A deliberately short list. We're shareholders and active partners in each one.

Leadership

We've sat on your side of the table.

LAGS is run by operators, not career consultants. We've built sales systems, partnerships and revenue inside technology companies, led teams through hard growth, and been in the room when a company was sold.

That's the lens we bring to every company: what it takes to grow it, and what it takes to make it worth buying. Who we are, you'll hear on the call.

The LAGS Brief

What we know, for members only.

Practical playbooks from real deals and real scale-ups. Members get them first. Join the list and we'll tell you when the doors open.

Playbook

The first 100 B2B customers after the founders' network runs out

Most companies stall between customer 20 and 40. The reason is almost never the product, and the fix starts with how deals are qualified.

Guide

What buyers actually look at in due diligence

The numbers matter less than you think. What kills deals is the story the numbers tell when someone reads them cold, months after the meeting.

Checklist

The 90-day scale-up audit

Twelve questions that show where a funded company is leaking time and money, and which three to fix first before raising again.

No spam. One email when the Brief opens, then only when there's something worth reading. Unsubscribe any time. Privacy policy.

Questions

Asked before the first call.

Who is LAGS for?

Funded companies that have proven traction and are hitting a ceiling: revenue that has stopped scaling, leadership stretched thin, a new market to open, or a transaction ahead. We also work with investors and partners looking to co-invest or buy into companies.

Why is there a test instead of a contact form?

Because we work with a small number of companies at a time. Three questions tell both sides, quickly and honestly, whether a conversation is worth having. If we're not the right fit, we say so.

What happens after I take the test?

If there's a match, a partner reads your answers and contacts you within one business day. Everything you share is confidential.

Is the first conversation free?

Yes. The first call is for both sides to find out whether there is a real problem worth solving, and whether we are the people to solve it. No pitch deck, no invoice.

What does working with LAGS look like?

Hands-on. We work inside the business, next to the people who make the decisions: building the sales engine, fixing the leadership structure, opening the next market or preparing the deal. You get operators in the room, not a report on a shelf.

How is pricing structured?

By the problem, not by the hour. Most engagements are a fixed-scope project or a monthly retainer. Where we believe in the company, part of our fee can be equity or tied to results. Everything is agreed in writing before work starts.

Do you invest in the companies you advise?

Sometimes. When we believe in a company and the fit is right, we put our own capital behind our advice. It's not a condition of working with us.

How do you handle confidentiality?

From the first message. We sign an NDA before you share anything sensitive, only partners see what you send, and we never name a client or a deal without permission.

What is The Brief?

Our members' library: playbooks, guides and checklists drawn from real scale-ups and real deals. It opens to members soon. Join the list and you'll hear first.

Still here?

Then you're probably wondering if you'd qualify.

There's no contact form on this site. There's the test. Forty seconds.
